 WHAT WE BELIEVE
- THE BIBLE: The Bible is the revealed word of God given to man by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the absolute authority of the scriptures over the affairs of man. ( 2Tim.3:16, 2Pet.1:21 )
- GOD: As the scripture teaches is only one true and living God, the creator of all things, who revealed Himself as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.( Deut. 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-11, 1John5:5-6)
- MAN: All men are born with a sinful nature, lost, having no hope, and without God in this world.
(Rom.3:19-23, Ps.51:5, Eph.2:1-2,12, Gal.3:22 ).
- SALVATION: Man cannot save himself, no amount of good works, or length of time in church membership can bring salvation, he needs a saviour. Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. It is repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is for all who will receive it. (Acts4:12, Acts3:19-20, Eph.2:8-10,Rom.5:1, Matt.1:21).
- THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: Is the only begotten son of God. We believe His virgin birth, his deity, His shed blood as an atonement and substitutionary death for all men, His resurrection and eventual return to judge the world.(Matt.1:23, John.3:16, 2Cor.5:21,1Cor.15:3).
- THE HOLY SPIRIT: Is the third person of the trinity. He convicts the world of sin, guides the believer into all truth. He gives gift to believers as He wills. He sanctifies the believer and enables him to live a holy life by dwelling in him. ( John.7:37-39, John.14:16-17, 1Cor.12:1-11, 1Thes.4:3 )
- BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT: with evidence of speaking in other tongues is for all believers, but is given to only those that ask for it. ( Joel.2:28, Acts.2:4, Acts.1:4-8, Luke.11:13 )
- WATER BAPTISM: public witness to ones faith is by immersion. It is for all believers. ( Mark.16:16, Acts.2:38, Rom.6:4 )
- THE BODY OF CHRIST: which is the church, is universal and eternal. It is made up of all who have been born again. ( Acts.10:34-35, John.1:12, 1Cor.12:12-31 ).
- SECOND COMING OF CHRIST: We believe in the visible bodily return of our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ to this earth. ( Acts.1:10-11, 1Thes.413-18, 2Thes.1:7-10, James.5:8, Rev.1:7 ).
- HEAVEN AND HELL: There will be bodily resurrection of all the dead, to join those that are alive and remain at the coming of the son of man in judgment at the end of the age. The saved ( those that belong to Christ ) will enjoy everlasting life in heaven, while the lost without (Christ) will enter everlasting damnation in hell. ( Matt.24:31-46, Acts.24:15, Rev.20:11-15, Matt.25:34-46, Lk.16:19-31, 1Thes.4:15-17, 1Cor.5:10 )
- CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE: is between one born again man and one born again woman, and it is for a lifetime. ( Gen.1:27, Gen.2:21-25, Matt.19:3-9 ).
- DIVINE HEALING: The redemptive work of Christ, that is, the atonement made by the shed blood of Christ on the cross provides among other things, healing for the human body. You can receive divine healing by faith through prayers, laying on of hands, or by anointing with oil. ( Isaiah.53:4-5, 1Pet.2:24, James.5:14-16, Mark.11:23-24, Psalm.107:20 ).
- DIVINE HEALTH: A state of being free from sickness and diseases. This is the will of God for the saints. ( 3Jn. 2, Exo.23:25-26, Exo.15:26, Psalm.105:37 ).
- STEWARDSHIP: Every man is a steward of his life and resources which is entrusted to him by God. He is accountable to God. We believe that tithing is a measure of your obedience to the principle of stewardship. Faithfulness is required in stewardship. ( 1Cor.4:7, 1Cor.15:10, Deut.8:18, 1Cor. 4:2 ).
